Hmmm... it lingered quite a bit on the same shots and there wasn't very much to it, but no, I see what you were kinda going for but I think you could have done it a little better. And also, fill me in on the bullet bit, it missed right? Was the murder actually commited? It wasn't very clear.

RE: Trigger finger
The whole idea for this is to be one main shot. The guy does die. It shows how in the blink of an eye when somone is killed, just how much is taken away, all thememories that make that person who he is.

I enjoyed this piece. Very simple, yet quite effective. Murder is often the topic of many many films, TV shows, etc. Yet, the public has grown used to the idea, as if it is no longer a grotesque act, but one to be thrust into the limelight and paraded around.
As for the execution of the film itself, I didn't feel that the title card fit at all. It detracted from the film by removing the interest from the beginning shots, and thus interrupted the flow. It would have been more effective with no title card at all.
Also, the music seemed to go well when all of the memories were playing, but it might have benefited from having it shift to a somewhat darker or more melancholy sound when the bullet was about to hit.
In the same vein, I wish the death shot would have been more powerful. Not to say gorey or bloody, but possibly a flush of red or more of a look of pain on the boy's face, something just to show the finality and horror that a murder would carry with it. As it is now, the death almost seems as if it were a dream or just a finite feeling, rather than an eternal consequence.
Good thoughtful film mate. Cheers.

That was good, yeah if it was done a little faster with a bit more footage it would have been perfect. The effects were good, right up until u get that last shot of the cg bullet, then it looks as if its still in the shell for some reason. And i think you could have had a more dramatic ending though with the death, like he gets shot, there is a really big sound and lots of blood with difforent angles, and the black and white cuts out to see that.
And also, i didnt understand why he was flying above the city at the end. It may have been to show the soul, but you could have made it a little more... difforent?
For example: he does the same thing, except his chest is up, as if being pulled up by it, and he is getting raised instead of floating horizontal, he is also bright blue on 70% opacity. It would just look cooler i think.
I was also expecting it to go longer than 2 minutes.
Anyway, good work continue to make films, that was new and difforent, unlike many other films...

That's what I'm saying. The action of committing the murder took far too long to get your point across. Showing the footage of him as a kid could've been done beforehand. Once a nice and semi-nostalgic atmosphere is established, we see the kid getting shot in the face. It would better convey the abrupt end of someone's life because the audience isn't expecting that to happen - with your movie, as soon as the gun is fired and flashbacks are shown, we know exactly what's going to happen, detracting from the point you're trying to get across. The idea is that killers pull the trigger and wipe out a person in a second, so a seconds all it takes to wipe out a life of events.
You know Rhys I wanted some under water footage once, so I kinda experimented with a standard digi camera (which can film) and stuck it in a plastic bag under water! Worked great, it was a bit fuzzy 'cause of the covering, but then one day it all went horribly wrong... Yeah, we fixed it though, a little permenant damage, but it's OK, now it has another damned problem! Stupid thing!
